Do YETIs lose their effectiveness?

How much water does a yeti drink a day?

If you have a 30 oz Yeti Tumbler you should be drinking 2.1 cups in order to drink the “8 cups a day” many people recommend. For an 18 oz bottle you need 3.6 bottles and for a 26 oz you need 2.5 cups or bottles worth.

Yeti coolers can hold ice for 3-5 days with regular use (half filled with food/drinks etc) or can hold ice for 7-10 days when full of ice in ideal conditions. Smaller Yeti roadies can only hold ice 2-4 days while large Yeti 160 can hold ice over 2 weeks!

Can yetis rust?

YETI stainless products are rust-resistant, however, rusting can happen on occasion. If you're experiencing rusting on your stainless product, we recommend using Bar Keepers Friend Cleanser & Polish. This should remove the rust/staining and maintain the life of your Rambler.

Why can't you put a Yeti in the freezer?

If a Yeti cup is placed in the freezer and the liquid inside it freezes and expands, this can cause damage to the stainless steel walls of the cup. Damage to the walls can lead to deformities and lead to a break in the vacuum seal.

Do Yeti cups last forever?

Yeti Tumbler cups stop working when the vacuum seal is lost and air fills up the space between the inner and outer wall of the cup. This causes the cup to lose the majority of it's insulating properties and unfortunately there is no way to fix this issue, the cup will need to be replaced.

If you've left your Yeti in a warm space then the plastic shell as well as the insulating foam inside the cooler will warm up and retain some heat. If you put ice into a Yeti that has been warmed up by the external environment then the Yeti cooler will transfer it's heat into the ice melting it at a rapid rate.

Can Yeti go in the microwave?

The short answer is no; microwaving a Yeti is not safe. Yeti drinkware, including mugs, tumblers, jugs, and bottles, is made from high-quality 18/8 stainless steel. Steel, like aluminum or any other conductive metal, does not mix well with radiation emitted by microwaves.
